ASIS CPP

Certified Protection Professional (CPPⓇ)

The Certified Protection Professional (CPP) is considered the "gold standard" for security management professionals. This certification validates your knowledge in all areas of security management. Eligibility requirements include 5-7 years of security experience and 3 years in responsible charge of a security function.

Are you an experienced Security Professional working as CSO, Security Manager, Operations Manager, Senior Security Consultant, etc. in any Industry, then Certified Protection Professional (CPP) Certification is the right choice for you. This is a broader certification and can be pursued along with other ASIS Board Certification except Associate Protection Professional (APP). CPP is considered the “gold standard” certification for security management professionals and demonstrates your knowledge and competency in the seven key domains of security mentioned below.

The program covers tasks, knowledge, and skills in seven broad domains that have been identified by CPPs as the major areas involved in security management.

  1. Security Principles and Practices (22%)

  2. Business Principles and Practices (15%)

  3.  Investigations (9%)

  4. Personnel Security (11%)

  5. Physical Security (16%)

  6. Information Security (14%)

  7. Crisis Management (13%)

Study Materials will be provided as a Library facility for Chapter members without any cost. Also, contact the Chapter Certification Rep to join the Study group. If you are still not a member of ASIS International, please contact the Chapter Membership Chair.
