PSIM – Beyond Systems and Silos

We hosted a highly interactive session on Physical Security Information Management (#PSIM) led by Ahmad Abou Zainab, who clarified the technology’s role within modern Smart City ecosystems.

He highlighted how PSIM acts as a unified platform connecting security systems, incident management tools, facility operations, and emergency response — without replacing core subsystems like VMS or ACS. The session also explored integration challenges, vendor #SDK openness, AI at edge vs server, #VR for next-gen SOCs, and cybersecurity considerations.

An engaging Q&A showed how PSIM bridges safety–security silos and delivers both tangible and intangible ROI, from faster investigations to streamlined reporting.

Chapter Chair Ranjiv Abraham closed by tying PSIM to the #ESRM framework, reminding us that true efficiency emerges when risks and responses are aligned across the enterprise.

Special thanks to Ayman Abu-Douleh, Abderrazzek Moussaoui, and Chapter Officer Alex Geans, along with all participants for their valuable contributions.
