First Women in Security (WIS) event- August 24, 2024

ASIS International Qatar Chapter conducted its first Women in Security (WIS) event in Qatar on August 24, 2024. The gathering brought together an inspiring group of professionals committed to fostering empowerment and driving change in the security sector.

The event featured a keynote address from ASIS Qatar Chapter Chair, Mr. Ranjiv Abraham, who emphasized the value of embracing challenges and stepping outside our comfort zones to achieve growth. His insights set the tone for a day of engaging discussions and collaborative problem-solving.

A highlight of the event was the "Cross the Line" ice-breaking activity, which allowed participants to share and recognize common experiences in the security industry. The group also engaged in a dynamic discussion, identifying key challenges and brainstorming actionable solutions to create a more supportive environment for women in the field.

We extend our gratitude to Amna Ramadan, the Women in Security liaison, for her leadership in organizing and facilitating the event alongside Mr. Abraham.
