The Security Middle East Conference in Riyadh on May 14, 2024 marked a key moment for the ASIS International Qatar Chapter. Chair Ranjiv Abraham met with ASIS Riyadh Chair Fahad AlGhamdi and IFPO MENASA Director Nadeem Iqbal to explore future collaborations.
This conference addressed several critical aspects of security in alignment with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030. It featured various panel discussions on topics such as preparing for major events to boost tourism, building resilient cities, creating a green and secure future, improving diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) in security, the role of generative AI, and managing cybersecurity resilience against evolving threats.
Six members (Ranjiv Abraham, Rehman Farrukh Abdul Rehman Khan, CPP®, MSyl, Mohammed Shijas, Mohammed Zaker Ahmed, Wael Youssef, Rawad Kordab, CPP®) from the Qatar chapter participated in the conference. The chapter arranged a 600 km road trip across the country from Doha to Riyadh, promoting collaboration, friendship, and shared experiences. This journey included visits to notable UNESCO sites in Saudi Arabia, such as At-Turaif District in Diriyah and Al-Qarah Mountain in Al-Ahsa.
